The Team
The members of the SEESHA team, who are spread across the country, function as different parts of one body, collectively working towards their common goal of eradicating poverty and empowering communities. The potpourri of professionals at SEESHA include trained and experienced medical/paramedical personnel, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, special educators, social workers and development workers, livelihood experts, and media and communication specialists.
Leadership
Dr. Paul Dhinakaran has been involved in philanthropic services for the past 35 years. SEESHA was founded by him as part of his humanitarian mission to care for the poor.
As an educationist and philanthropist, Dr. Paul was appointed by the Government of India as a Member of the National Monitoring Committee for Minority Education and Governing Council Member of the Education for Each Child Programme. He is also the Chancellor of the prestigious Karunya University and the co-Founder of Jesus Calls.
Dr. Jeyakumar Daniel has a rich portfolio as a leader, administrator and board member of several reputed educational, healthcare and humanitarian organisations which are enriching the lives of the downtrodden. He is currently serving as an advisor to SEESHA.
Formerly, he has served as Director for South Asia at The Leprosy Mission, held leading positions as the Executive Director and President of SEESHA, President of Jesus Calls and Chancellor-Representative of Karunya University. He is also a board member at Christian Medical College (Vellore), SLRTC (Karigiri), St. Stephen’s Hospital (Delhi), Baptist Hospital (Bengaluru), Hindu Kushst Nivaran Sangh, Bible Society of India, Woodstock School (Missouri), Kodai International School (Kodaikanal), Christian Medical Association of India, Cathedral Church of Redemption and Rights & Democracy (Canada).
Mr.Henry Waller joined SEESHA as Chief Operating Officer with more than 30 years of global development experience, directing and managing diverse programmes on behalf of International NGOs and donor agencies in India, Vietnam, Myanmar and other developing countries in the Asia region.
In addition to being an expert in Economic Development, Micro Finance, Integrated Development and establishing Technical Centres, he also has the experience of working with funding offices based in Canada - matching community needs with donor expectations, ensuring global financial standards, and building local capacity in order to ensure Sustainable Development.
Ms. Sharon Dhinakaran
TrusteeSharon Dhinakaran's heart lies with her people in the great nation of India. As she sits among the marginalized and talks to them about their daily needs, she brings to light the increasing gap between the wealthy and the poor. Sharon’s wish, at SEESHA, is to bridge this gap by helping the marginalized, untouchable, broken and hurt to live a life of dignity. She also seeks to work with visionaries, influencers, entrepreneurs and leaders who hold the keys to creating opportunities for all classes of people in industries, offices and field work. By bringing both groups together, Sharon hopes to see communities across India experience freedom, justice, independence and the courage to live life to their full potential.
